Canna Leaves

Canna leaves give the autumnal garden colour, structure and texture.

With the sun shining through their leaves the shades of yellows, oranges, bronzes and greens sizzle in true Tropicana style

  • Inspired photos! When we lived in the county, my mother loved canna’s and planted them all along a fence. While glorious in bloom, I wasn’t fond of them once the blooms were spent and they made a mess in the garden. Shame on me for shaping my attitude toward the plant because the blooms fade and then autumn arrives!

    • Thanks Deb, I have to admit I think I’m coming to a similar conclusion. we are planning on re-doing the garden next year, and I’ve been looking at the cannas wondering whether they are for the chop or not!
