After 3 years of trying to grow aubergines, it looks like I have some contenders for the plate. I nearly gave up on them a few weeks ago, but as I dithered they finally set some fruit.
They still need to grow a little bit more, and then fully ripen, but this is the nearest I’ve come to getting them. So my investment in building a greenhouse, might be about to pay off.
Having said that, I still only have a handful of Aubergines forming, they seem to be distinctly elusive, and the jury is still out as to whether I bother growing them next year.
But how will I cook them? Mediterranean, Asian or Oriental style. Let’s hope all of them.
