I have some wonderful heritage tomatoes growing this year, and the Blue OSU is no exception. I just need to practice a bit more patience and they will soon be ready for eating

“Bred at Oregon State University and not officially released. A cordon variety with regular leaves which notably can take on a blue-black colour from strong sunlight. Fruits ripen to red but where they have been in sunlight the skin is coloured almost black. It needs full sun to get as much blue colour as possible, but for the novelty value of having some blue tomatoes, is quite fun and is definitely a talking point.”
They are looking like the first tomatoes to fully ripen in the Greenhouse, but the Alicante’s are giving them a run for their money.
Needless to say I’m looking forward to the taste test to come
