Figgy pudding

“Oh bring us a figgy pudding”

We bought a fig tree last year ~ Brown Turkey ~ and much to our delight, we have our fist fig growing. Only one at the moment, but I’m hopeful for more.

I’m doubtful that we will ever have enough to make our own Fig jam, but we should at least have a few to eat and enjoy every year. Besides, wanting Fig jam just means an annual trip to France to visit friends to pick up a few jars of homemade jam.

I read the other week about Fig trees looking as if they don’t flower, well they do, but the flower is so tiny we don’t get to see it.
